This blog feels like it has been consuming every one of my thoughts recently–especially formatting this damn site. I swear I feel like Ms. Frankenstein when I’m attempting to code, I’m blindly add symbols and numbers with the hope it turns out presentable…So pardon my design for a bit, I’m still trying to figure this out.
As I mentioned before, I’ve been feeling nervous about launching this blog and I know it’s because I’m afraid of failing–that, and the fact that I’m fairly private person. Interestingly, when I was staring at my computer screen yesterday questioning what the hell I got myself into airing out my personal life–this tweet popped up on my feed:
“The secret of getting ahead is getting started.” – Mark Twain. With that said… #getafterit!

Thanks, Universe. Noted. I need to stop being a baby and just march on.
I took a break from the box today because my back was still shot from a deadlift workout on Monday. Typically, I try to follow the 3 days on, 1 day off workout model for Crossfit. Injuries and scheduling can sometimes change up my plans, but I’ve stayed pretty consistent for the last five months…
Here’s what would have been my WOD today (via Norcal Crossfit):
Front Squats (75/45lbs)
Box Jumps (24)
Row
One arm DB Snatch
1min of each movement
1min rest
3 rounds
*kind like Fight Gone Bad.
You’ll come to notice that 90% of my WODs will come from Norcal Crossfit — why? Because that’s my box and I trust my coaches–they are some of the best in the world. Overall, the programming has been great. Eventually, I’ll create a page with my favorite workouts that I’ve done and will include a couple that you can do virtually anywhere (hello, vacation).
I’ll leave you with this funny Someecard someone from Norcal Crossfit posted on Facebook. Guilty as charged.
